What is Logic?
I stumbled upon this thought as I was listening to the seminal work of GWF Hegel recently. Hegel delves into the dynamics of thoughts and knowledge and how human mind acts in concrete situations. He criticises the notion of static categories of knowledge and positions logic as a concrete construction of knowledge through concrete categories.
Hegel’s approach to logic is deeply intertwined with his epistemological views. He emphasizes the process of becoming, where being and nothingness interact to produce becoming. This reflects his view that reality is a dynamic process rather than a static state. Hegelian method of continous categorization of experience and measurement produces a robust and rational system of thought.
Hegelian logic is often denoted as a system of dialectics, resonating with dialectical metaphysics. It is just a notional view that neglects the unified framework that emerges within Hegelian system. Hegel breaks the barriers between subjective and objective structures. Thus it is not a metaphysical system that delves on the peripheries and proximities of knowledge and knowing. It runs through the processs and product of knowledge and knowing.
